Fall Festival

Just got back from the fall festival at church, where Jude won "most creative costume" for his age group! Now we're off to bed for a good night's rest so that we can be up bright and early for his check up in the morning. I'm anxious to see what his stats are! More news coming soon...

Happy Halloween!

Momma was over the moooon about how I looked in my costume!

I know we're two days early, but Jude has already been enjoying the festivities! He even went on his first hay ride last night! We're wrapping up the holiday with a fall festival at church...more pics to come!

We love it!

The Great Pumpkin Pout

You know those sweet pictures that moms take of their babies sitting in pumpkin patches for Halloween? Well, this is ours. Mr. Sir was not in a festive mood. He was also not wearing pants because it was 83º. Happy Fall, everyone!

Getting in the Swing of Things

Jude had his first swing ride today! (And I replaced my broken camera. Woo hoo!)
Little Man had a ball! I think we'll be making this a weekly activity.
Do you see the smile on my boy's face?!

Sorry in advance for the sideways view of the video...
Doofus here held the camera vertically while taping. Go me!

9 Months

My camera broke just in time for Jude's 9 month birthday...and the upcoming Halloween (aka baby-in-a-cute-costume) holiday. Awesome. This was the last picture I managed to upload before it broke, so I'm using it to document the momentous day. Hooray!

Jude is turning into a little boy. And it kinda breaks my heart a little....but I'm mostly excited to watch his progress! Fun times, I tell ya!!

• He has 6 teeth
• He's eating table food! In addition to his jarred baby food, Jude enjoys pb&j sandwiches, french fries, mashed potatoes, butter beans, corn, Cheerios and Daddy's oatmeal.
• He is JUST about to stand on his own. In fact, he did stand for about 10 seconds the other day...very exciting!
• Jude is talking more and more. He doesn't associate words with objects or people yet, but he's exploring different sounds. He mostly says mamama...dadadada....and "bob". What a cutie :)
• He is a master stair climber, and he loves to climb up for a visit to Daddy's office several times a day.
• He's learned to clap his hands! And he smiles every time we sing "If You're Happy and You Know It"
• He LOVES to be swung and held upside down...he thinks it's great fun!
• Still working on mastering the sippy cup...argh! We'll get there, though!

Hoping to have a working camera in time for Halloween (Jude's going to be a cow!) Check back soon!

A gift from Dad

Dad brought home a gift from his trip last weekend.

And I like it!

Just Wanted to Say Hi

Happy Sunday, everyone! Just woke up from my nap...and Mom and I have some time to kill before we're off to the college girls' small group tonight (boy, do those girls love me!).  I think I'll probably spend the rest of my afternoon getting into trouble and distracting Dad from his school work. It's a big job, but I'm up for the challenge :)  See y'all later!

That's How He Rolls.

I guess he likes the wind in his hair :)

I took this little man for a walk today. He loves the outdoors!

But he hates the grass.

Overall, we had a great day.

(Check out my teeth!)

The End :)

8 Months

On September 23, Jude turned 8 months old! This boy is on the move! He is crawling, pulling up, and climbing! In addition to his two bottom teeth, he now has one top tooth and the second one should peek through any day. I'm not sure about his height these days, but I know he weighs around 23 pounds. He still eats well, but he's beginning to prefer table food over his jarred food. Thankfully, he loves his momma's cooking! Bottles are a different story...we're having trouble getting liquid down Mr. Man. He refuses a bottle because he associates it with sleep, and he hasn't yet mastered the art of drinking from a sippy cup. Any tips from you mommas out there??

Stayed tuned...more pics to come!
